Course Description

The most dramatic change in the world economy has been, the global move toward free trade, the unrestricted movement of goods and services, across international borders. There are differences in world cultures based on a society's customs, traditions and value system. Each society has its own do's and don'ts. Thus, understanding how to effectively communicate cross-culturally is more important today than ever before!

This course introduces you to a cultural profile that will help you understand how you perceive various cultures as well as different aspects of what makes people unique based on their personality compared to their cultural background. You will learn about the Iceberg Model of Culture, Geert Hofstede's dimensions of culture model, and Edward T. Hall's perspective of culture, time, and space.
