Learning objectives of the study course:
Upon the successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Gain a basic understanding on the legal aspects in innovation and innovation management, including intellectual property rights, and qualification requirements.
- Understand different intellectual assets, and what can be protected using patents, copyright, and trademarks.
- Understand the value of developing an IP strategy for organizations, especially in the context of SMEs, as part of the innovation management and business strategy.
- Acquire knowledge and understating of knowledge management tools, market intelligence techniques, cooperative and networking tools, and human resource management techniques.
- Examine the relationship between knowledge management tools and techniques and innovation in firms.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship and types of entrepreneurs.
- Develop entrepreneurial skills and know how to launch technology-based ventures.
- Identify entrepreneurial opportunities for innovation.
Prior knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., engineering, business administration, social sciences).
- Prior general management knowledge and/or course needed, or
- Practical experience with limited theoretical knowledge in innovation management.
- Familiarity with technology-oriented businesses.

The written course exam is based on module 1,2 and 3 material in the course “Advanced Technology Management and Entrepreneurship”.
You need to install
Safe Exam Browser to your computer.
The exam will not open if there is no SEB.
SEB can be found and installed from Software Centre or from the Internet.
· If you can open this test correctly, Safe Exam Browser is installed on your computer.
· The exam will be open from 22.5. 2023 at 8.00am until 28.5.2023 at 23.55pm.
· 1 attempt only.
· Time allowed: 90 minutes.
· Remember to save and submit the answers at the end of the exam. Follow the instructions given by Moodle.
